Abi Clarke

In the past, i.e. in the early 2020s. In the olden days, comedians may have expected to perform across the UK for many years before being invited to a TV panel, and later selling an arena tour. However, the reality is that it's not so easy. One form of art that can still be performed live is comedy, but there's no chance of arena tour. However one Bristol comedian has found a global audience via social media lockdown. Being famous on the internet is not something that Abi Clarke set out to achieve. The 24-year-old who lives in Hen bury, with her parents, first started making online videos "to establish a following that was like-minded and would like my stand-up comedy. "I had been performing many more shows in Devon to men aged 50 or older, so I started making online videos in the hope that I could build an audience of like-minded people who would appreciate my stand up comedy," Abi said.
